Mexico

Yeah that's right my poor little husband has to fly down to Mexico and spend three days on a yacht fishing. Poor little guy, his job is such a pain in the neck!!! :P I just couldn't resist throwing a little sarcasm his way. Although Jay's job does have alot of perks he has recently become partners in the business and is working day and night. The phone never stops and he is devoting a majority of his time at the office. This is an awesome opportunity for us and I am so proud of him. I know how hard he works for our family. I love you baby and you deserve every good thing that comes your way.

Last Lecture

For those of you who have not seen Randy Pausch's Last lecture please do, it is life changing. You will want to scroll down and shut the music off to the slideshow.

(July 25) -- Randy Pausch, a Carnegie Mellon University computer scientist whose "last lecture" about facing terminal cancer became an Internet sensation and a best-selling book, has died. He was 47.
Pausch died early Friday at his home in Virginia, university spokeswoman Anne Watzman said. Pausch and his family moved there last fall to be closer to his wife's relatives.

Laughing With Tears, It's that funny

Jamaica Mon

Back in May some dear friends of our John and Amy invited us on a trip to Jamaica. This was my first trip out of the country, and one of many for my husband of course. The people are so sweet and the country so beautiful. We met many locals that we actually keep in touch with. They are hard workers, and work for such little pay. These people would love the opportunity to come and work in America but do not have the money or the resources to help with getting their Visas. Americans are so spoiled.. but that's another blog. :) We had an amazing time and I couldn't think of better friends to share it with.

We Must Never Forget

One Flaw In Women

(you will see what it is in the end)

Women have strengths that amaze men.

They bear hardships and they carry burdens,

But they hold happiness, love and joy.

They smile when they want to scream.

They sing when they want to cry.

They cry when they are happy

And laugh when they are nervous.

They fight for what they believe in.

They stand up to injustice.

They don't take "no" for an answer

When they believe there is a better solution.

They go without so their family can have.

They go to the doctor with a frightened friend.

They love unconditionally.

They cry when their children excel

And cheer when their friends get awards.

They are happy when they hear about

A birth or a wedding.

Their hearts break when a friend dies.

They grieve at the loss of a family member,

yet they are strong when they

Think there is no strength left.

They know that a hug and a kiss

Can heal a broken heart.

Women come in all shapes, sizes and colors.

They'll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you

To show how much they care about you.

The heart of a woman is what makes the world keep turning.

They bring joy, hope and love.

They have the compassion and ideas.

They give moral support to their

Family and friends.

Women have vital things to say

And everything to give.

HOWEVER, IF THERE IS ONE FLAW IN WOMEN,

IT IS THAT THEY FORGET THEIR WORTH.

Busy Busy Weekend

This weekend was a very busy one for me. Friday night we drove up to Strathmore for the rehearsal for my cousin Jackie's wedding that Madison was in. We attended the wedding Saturday morning which was beautiful. I then headed back to Bakersfield for Kamye's baby shower which was so much fun seeing all my old friends. I then came home where we had lots of friends over and my cousin and his girlfriend came to visit. Then Sunday we headed up to Strathmore for my niece's dedication. Whewww!!! Busy buns. We did have a great weekend with friends and family. I feel so blessed to have so many wonderful people in my life that I have the privilege of sharing such great moments with. Here are some pics of the from this weekend.

Just For This Morning

Just for this morning, I am going to smile when I see your face and laugh when I feel like crying.

Just for this morning, I will let you choose what you want to wear, and smile and say how perfect it is.

Just for this morning, I am going to step over the laundry, and pick you up and take you to the park to play.

Just for this morning, I will leave the dishes in the sink, and let you teach me how to put that puzzle of yours together.

Just for this afternoon, I will unplug the telephone and keep the computer off, and sit with you in the backyard and blow bubbles.

Just for this afternoon, I will not yell once, not even a tiny grumble when you scream and whine for the ice cream truck, and I will buy you one if he comes by.

Just for this afternoon, I won't worry about what you are going to be when you grow up, or second guess every decision I have made where you are concerned.

Just for this afternoon, I will let you help me bake cookies, and I won't stand over you trying to fix them.

Just for this afternoon, I will take us to McDonald's and buy us both a Happy Meal so you can have
both toys.

Just for this evening, I will hold you in my arms and tell you a story about how you were born and how much I love you.

Just for this evening, I will let you splash in the tub and not get angry.

Just for this evening, I will let you stay up late while we sit on the porch and count all the stars.

Just for this evening, I will snuggle beside you for hours, and miss my favorite TV shows.

Just for this evening when I run my fingers through your hair as you pray, I will simply be grateful that God has given me the greatest gift ever given.

I will think about the mothers and fathers who are searching for their missing children, the mothers and fathers who are visiting their children's graves instead of their bedrooms, and mothers and fathers who are in hospital rooms watching their children suffer senselessly, and screaming inside that they can't handle it any more.

And when I kiss you goodnight I will hold you a little tighter, a little longer. It is then, that I will thank God for you, and ask him for nothing, except one more day...

LeT It Go

Let It Go

By T. D. Jakes

There are people who can walk away from you. And hear me when I tell you this! When people can walk away from you: let them walk. I don't want you to try to talk another person into staying with you, loving you, calling you, caring about you, coming to see you, staying attached to you. I mean hang up the phone. When people can walk away from you let them walk. Your destiny is never tied to anybody that left. The Bible said that, they came out from us that it might be made manifest that they were not for us. For had they been of us, no doubt they would have continued with us. [1 John 2:19]

People leave you because they are not joined to you. And if they are not joined to you, you can't make them stay. Let them go. And it doesn't mean that they are a bad person it just means that their part in the story is over. And you've got to know when people's part in your story is over so that you don't keep trying to raise the dead. You've got to know when it's dead. You've got to know when it's over.

Let me tell you something. I've got the gift of good-bye. It's the tenth spiritual gift, I believe in good-bye. It's not that I'm hateful, it's that I'm faithful, and I know whatever God means for me to have He'll give it to me. And if it takes too much sweat, I don't need it. Stop begging people to stay. Let them go!!!
If you are holding on to something that doesn't belong to you and was never intended for your life... LET IT GO!!!
If you are holding on to past hurts and pains... LET IT GO!!!
If someone can't treat you right, love you back, and see your worth... LET IT GO!!!
If someone has angered you... LET IT GO!!!
If you are holding on to some thoughts of evil and revenge? LET IT GO!!!
If you are involved in a wrong, relationship or addiction ... LET IT GO!!!
If you are holding, on to a job that no longer meets your needs or talents... LET IT GO!!!
If you have, a bad attitude... LET IT GO!!!
If you keep judging others to make yourself feel better... LET IT GO!!!
If you're stuck in the past and God is trying to take you to a new level in Him... LET IT GO!!!
If you are struggling with the healing of a broken relationship.... LET IT GO!!!
If you keep trying to help someone who won't even try to help themselves... LET IT GO!!!
If you're feeling depressed and stressed.... LET IT GO!!!
If there is a particular situation that you are so used to handling yourself and God is saying, "take your hands off of it," then you need to... LET IT GO!!!
Let the past be the past. Forget the former things. GOD is doing a new thing for 2005!!! LET IT GO!!!
Get right or get left. Think about it, and then LET IT GO!!! "The Battle is the Lord's!"
"In life it's not important how you fall, but how you get up." ANONYMOUS

It's Our Haleigh Bug's Birthday

Haleigh Bug, It's your birthday. Finally. After all the reminders and countdowns the day is here. ;) On your day I just want to let you know what an amazing girl you are. I know there have been lots of new changes for you this year but you have taken them in stride, always wearing that beautiful smile. You are such a wonderful big sister to your brothers and sister. You let them play with you and tag along even when you would prefer some alone time. You share without a fuss, and always try to make things fair for everyone. Haden can't live a day without you, Madison wants to be you, and well Bowen just wants his kiki. I know that you have not always been a part of my life, but I now could never imagine my life without you. You are a smart, loving, sweet, beautiful girl Haleigh. Daddy and I love you so much. Happy Ninth Birthday my love. xoxoxoxoxoxo

Things That Make Ya Go Mmmmm

Last tuesday I posted a story about Jay buying dinner for a guy who was hungry. I kind of made light of it because the guy I felt took advantage of Jay's generosity. That day my brother posted a comment and said not to worry that when God returned the favor, it would be the most expensive thing on the menu. Well tonight being that it was Jay's birthday we decided to go to a local ice cream parlor. We ordered sandwhiches and ice cream for all of us. With four kidos this can be pretty expensive. To our surprise when we got ready to pay the bill the cashier informed us that a gentelman had paid our bill. We had not noticed anyone familiar, we have no clue who this sweet person was. But truly what a blessing. What an opportunuty to remind the kids that you can always afford to do the right thing for someone in need, the blessings come back ten fold.

Happy Birthday My Love

My dearest Jay, you have brought more to my life than I could have ever hoped or dreamed. You far exceeded any expectation I had in a husband, father and friend. You are truly an answer to many prayers. Thank you. I am wishing you the best birthday ever. The babies and I love you so much and are so proud of you. Happy Birthday baby!!!
