Christmas Eve
Christmas Eve is here! It's so hard to believe. Another year has come and gone. This will be the first year that my family will not be meeting at my Grandmas for our tradition of dinner and opening presents. It's something I have done for the last 29 years and I will miss greatly. Yes, things are different and we have started new traditions but our memories will live on forever.
I feel so blessed to have the wonderful family that I have. God has been so good to Jay and I. We have amazing parents, beautiful healthy children and true friends. I am so full of laughter and cheer on this Christmas Eve. Merry Christmas!

Well we are back from our trip to Arizona! We got in late last night. We were able to spend five days with Jays family this time. I am so thankful we got to do this trip. The time spent with his Grandparents is priceless. I have a list a mile long to get done today so I will try and post pics later tonight!

Christmas Time
Just wanted to share a little of what's been going on in our neck of the woods. The past couple of weeks we have been busy, busy! We got a head start on our Christmas decorating the day after Thanksgiving, we were a little anxious to get in the Christmas spirit! :) Last Thursday I took Madison and Bowen to Porterville to be in the Christmas parade with dad's church, which was a blast. We always have so much fun there. Last night was Haleigh's first band concert, she did a fabulous job! We are so incredibly proud of her! This year has been a lot of changes for her with a new school. She is working very hard and adjusting very well. I will now begin packing for our trip to Arizona. Jay's Uncle and Aunt are renewing their vows and Jay is the best man. We will get to be with most of Jay's family this trip which makes it so special. Hopefully this Holiday season finds you surrounded by family and friends. It's the most wonderful time of the year!!!!

A Good Woman
A Good Woman
A good woman is proud.
She respects herself and others.
She is aware of who she is.
She neither seeks definition from the person she is with,
nor does she expect them to read her mind.
She is quite capable of articulating her needs.
A good woman is hopeful.
She is strong enough to make all her dreams come true.
She knows love, therefore she gives love.
She recognizes that her love has great value and must be reciprocated.
If her love is taken for granted, it soon disappears.
A good woman has a dash of inspiration and a dabble of endurance.
She knows that she will at times have to inspire others
to reach the potential God gave them.
A good woman knows her past, understands her present
and forces toward the future.
A good woman knows God.
She knows that with God the world is her playground,
but without God she will just be played with.
A good woman does not live in fear of the future because of her past.
Instead, she understands that her life experiences are merely lessons meant to bring her closer to self-knowledge and unconditional self-love...

Thanksgiving
This thanksgiving was definitely was filled with a bunch of firsts. This was the first time that Jay and I have had Thanksgiving in our home and my first turkey! The turkey turned out great and we had a wonderful time with our family! My family came into town Wednesday and we got started with the fun. We made tacos and roasted marshmallows over the fire outside. The next day my mom, Candace and I begin cooking. We had such a beautiful day. Jay before we prayed spoke about my Grandma and reminded us how very much we have to be thankful for. We ended the day with lots of desserts and games with friends. What an awesome couple of days. A Thanksgiving we will never forget!!

So Much To Be Thankful For
Tomorrow we will be having Thanksgiving at our house with both of our families. This will be the first year without my Grandma. My heart is heavy and full of memories. I will miss our regular family tradition of Thanksgiving at her house, where after lunch we would get out the sale paper's and pick out what we wanted from her for Christmas. How very blessed we were to have her for so many years. Yes, this year will be different but I am so thankful just the same. I have an amazing husband, beautiful kids and the best family anyone could ask for. God has been so good to us. I have so much to be thankful for!

Beautiful Ride
This picture was taken two years ago right before we got married. I love this picture. It is missing Bowen who was done taking pictures by this time but it does capture our three little munchkins and their playful side. This was right before we really all became a family. We really had no idea what to expect blending our two families. We knew there would be big changes and lots of struggles, but we were up for the challenge. Here we are two years later and what a beautiful ride it has been. It has not all been easy, and there have been days we felt unequipped for the job but God has honored our commitment to him and our family! I am so very proud of Jay and our children, they are amazing. We are so blessed!

My Promise
These I Can Promise Author Unknown
I cannot promise you a life of sunshine;
I cannot promise riches, wealth, or gold;
I cannot promise you an easy pathway
That leads away from change or growing old.
But I can promise all my heart's devotion;
A smile to chase away your tears of sorrow;
A love that's ever true and ever growing;
A hand to hold in yours through each tomorrow.

Family
One of the first things about Jay that I noticed was his love and respect for his parents and grandparents. I grew up in a wonderful home surrounded by wonderful parents and grandparents that I loved and admired. To find someone with the same admiration for his family was awesome. This is not a quality that can be taught, it is born inside of you.

My Rock
Well, seventeen more days until our anniversary and I am continuing my daily post. When I came across this picture I had a lot of different emotions. This picture was taken the day of my Grandma's funeral. On April 19th which just so happens to be my Mom's birthday my dear sweet Grandma left all of us to be with Jesus and Grandpa. It was such a difficult time for all of my family. From the moment that I received the phone call, Jay was there. He was my pillar of strength. He held my hand as I was able to say goodbye for the last time. I will forever remember that moment with him by my side. Jay, I cannot even put into words what that meant to me. You more than anyone know how much I miss her, and you have let me cry..a lot. Thank you for being my rock and loving not only me but the people who mean the most to me!! I love you!

Love
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails....

The Adventure
It was a great thing that I was such a tomboy and up for having some fun! Being married to Jay has been full of adventure!! :) We have flown all over the United States, we have tested the water of the pacific ocean in his boat, rode quads, shot guns and are currently on the greatest adventure of our lives...raising four kids. :) I am so glad to have this boy as the captain of our ship, I would follow him anywhere!

Marriage
In twenty days my love and I will celebrate our second anniversary. I have decided to post something every day to remind him how very thankful I am to have found him! :) Saw this quote and thought how very true! Thank you for loving me everyday!
Marriage is not a noun; it's a verb. It isn't something you get. It's something you do. It's the way you love your partner every day.

Happy Birthday Christine
Today I am wishing one of my longest and dearest friends a very Happy Birthday. Christine and I have known each other since grade school. We have been through so much together. I am so thankful we have been able to maintain our friendship all these years. She is an amazing wife, mother and friend. She stands true to what she believes in and always puts her family first. I am so proud of her! This weekend we are meeting up to do some shopping and dinner with another friend of ours. I look forward to celebrating many more years together my sweetness!! xoxoxo
Attitude
“The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, the education, the money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company... a church... a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. And so it is with you... we are in charge of our Attitudes.”

Trusting His Heart
Trust His Heart
Verse 1 All things work for our good though sometimes we don't see how they could. Struggles that break our hearts in two sometimes blinded to the truth. Our Father knows what best for us he ways are not our own. So when your pathway grows dim and you just don't see him remember your never alone.
Chorus God is to wise to be mistaken God is to good to be unkind. So when you don't understand when you don't his plan when you can't trace his hand trust his heart, trust his heart. (He alone is faithful and true he alone knows what is best for you).
Verse 2 He's see the master plan and he hold our future in his hand so don't live as those who have no hope for our hope is found in him. We see the presently clearly but he see the 1st and the last and like a tapestry he's weaving you and me to someday be just like him Ohhh.
